Welcome to Issue II.
We’re so excited to welcome in the new year—and to turn a new chapter in our journey as a magazine—with this new release.
Farside Review was started as a journal dedicated to rediscovery, and the past few months we’ve spent putting this issue together has been a whirlwind of just that—from getting the chance to break down the creative workings behind Issue I’s published pieces through contributor interviews to bringing on several new faces to our editorial staff.
Moreover, the support we’ve continued to receive from the literary community, as well as the sheer volume of beautiful art and writing we’ve had the honor to receive from our submitters, couldn’t mean more to us as a growing team.
Issue II’s 23 contributors explore the milky depths of the subconscious and the warmth that can be found in what haunts us. They bury and unearth what it means to love beneath the sea’s tossing waves, mold life out of flesh, and redefine the freedom contained in a breath. They explore the pains of growing up through the melody of soft music and the toll of bells, make pleas for salvation, and follow ideas through windy coasts and iris fields. Most importantly, they find curiosity, joy, beauty, and pain where unexpected, and crystallize these emotions into writing.
Happy reading. We can’t wait for you to dive into this issue.
