Chinwe Okonkwo

Chinwe Okonkwo is a student in the Metro Atlanta area. She is originally from Nnewi, Nigeria and takes pride in her Nigerian roots. She has won various awards for writing including her county’s 2017 Honouring Our Hero’s Writing Award. She has 5+ publications under her belt and is a staff writer for the Write Through The Night blog. She also works as a fiction reader for the Levatio Magazine. She finished a writer workshop with famous poet Jose Olivarez and The University of Iowa. She wants to become a screenwriter, bringing marginalized stories to the big screen. When she is not writing she runs Varsity Track and Field for her school and is heavily involved in the theatre program.
