Elizabeth Ruth Deyro

Elizabeth Ruth Deyro is a journalist, researcher, and editor from the Philippines. She holds a BA from the University of the Philippines with specialization in media studies and creative writing, and is pursuing an MA in Women and Development at the same institution. She is a 2019 Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism fellowship awardee and a former editor at CNN Philippines, with bylines in Art+ Magazine and Rappler, among other media outfits. A one-time Pushcart Prize nominee, her poetry has appeared in Rust+Moth, Hypertrophic Literary, and Tilted Axis Press, to name a few; her work in fiction, in Ellipsis Zine and Jellyfish Review. She is the editor of Half Mystic Journal, where she also runs an annual column featuring personal essays on identity and music. She is also a member of the Filipino feminist publishing collective Gantala Press and the Southeast Asian Feminist Action Movement, and works in research and SRHR with the Lunas Collective.
