FLYING SOLO JAMBOREE!

Thursday, October 29, 2022 at 6pm
1543 N. Driver Blvd #561
Arlington Heights, IL 60004

MESSAGE FROM HOST Tracey Regus

Honoring all of us beautiful creatures as we begin -or continue- to spread our wings and take flight, in solitude, yet together!

There is lots of street parking on the northside of Drysdale Blvd, except near Freedom Park. You can also park 3 blocks away in the public lot outside Arlington Heights West Library. The lot is big and safe!

I will provide the grub, the booze, and the tunes (yes, “Dog Days Are Over” will be on repeat :)). Bring only yourself, your groovy dance moves and your faith that life begins NOW!

Can’t wait to see you all next month!

xo,

TR

Renee Spencer said: “Hey girlie. I LOVE that you are doing this! You are an amazing woman who deserves every second of your well-earned freedom and independence!!! Interesting update: after all the ‘stuff’ TJ and I were going through….we’re actually doing somewhat better now 🙂 I think my talks with you really helped (I know, right? We talked about me leaving! Yet, now I’m staying!). But, seriously, you helped me see what was/is important in my life and he and I had a really great talk about maybe starting a new chapter and prioritizing family and us (me and TJ). I’m nervous but so relieved that we are getting back together, when I thought it was definitely over. Fingers crossed I’ll never have to go through anything like the last four months again! (But if I do, I’m calling YOU!!! LOL, JK, not jk). I hope your party is amazing. Obvs, I am not planning to attend, with this whole ‘turn of events,’ but I will be thinking of all you amazing peeps starting this new chapter and KNOWING that everything happens for a reason! Love you, chica!”

Jon Villanueva said: “Hi T. I did it. I know I said I didn’t think I could go through with it, or, maybe what I said was ‘I didn’t know if I should…’ Anyway. Everything you talked me through was so important and helpful to me. Truly. But, I dunno. I just thought about what would happen if I didn’t move forward, and instead retreated back, and I thought about the kids, the family, the home I’d never had. All of it. And I just didn’t know if I could take that kind of regret one day. Not to say that I won’t have regrets with this, but, I mean, what if I decide when I’m 60 I have to be a dad, kinda late, right? Like we talked about, the whole thing is such a weird set up: gotta go through all this business to get the family, and all that. You already know all about it. The point is, that I asked C to marry me and she said yes, and I’m doing it! Crazy, so crazy. Anyway, most important for you is that I’m not really sure it makes sense to come to your event, since it’s not really me solo…Would it be weird if I brought her? LMK. I don’t want to put you in a bad place. I also want you to know that even though I’m doing this, everything we talked about – like, every single thing – stuck with me and meant something. Truly. This is just, how I have to go forward I guess. Also, wanted to let you know I already asked C and she said for sure you should be invited to our wedding (no real plans yet), and I do have some pretty cool friends you might get along with. I know we talked about that not really being what you’re all about, but maybe by then you’ll be ready. Anyway, just let me know about the plus one to this event or if I should skip out since I’m def not single anymore 😉 J.”

You replied: “Oh my gosh, Jonny boy. That’s amazing. Congratulations! Yeah, I am trying to keep the shindig to bonafide single peeps, but thanks for asking. And congrats again. She’s a lucky lady.”

Ashley Everett said: “Trace. It feels weird to say sorry I can’t attend when it’s actually for such a good reason.  But, yeah, I won’t be able to make it after all. I was so looking forward to it, but lots has changed quickly, for the better 🙂 I’ll tell you in person. Maybe drinks soon? Thank you so much for being there for me through everything, girlie. You are literally the most amazing woman in the world. I know someone *special* will see that someday. Love you. Text me when you want to get together to catch up for real. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo”

Sara Whittington said: “Hi there. So…I’m likely not gonna be at your party (sorry for taking so long to let you know, also). Things have been crazy for me. I actually decided to go back to Tim. I know, I know. It’s legit that he’s got a lot of issues to deal with, and that he has struggled with regulating them around me and the kids, but he says he’s open to therapy, maybe even couples therapy, and I’m just not ready to give up yet. I’m pretty worn out, and even though the thought of dealing with his anxiety and jealousy and all that also wears me out, I just can’t imagine doing the whole divorce thing, and what that would do to the kids. I know that it worked out for you, and that you’re better off, and I admire you so much for being able to deal with that so smoothly. I just can’t give up yet. I’ll keep you posted. Sorry to miss your party. Sara.”

I will still send you the wine, and a gift card as well. Thank you. Do I need to use the RSVP feature in this invitation or does this notice suffice?”

Hey y’all!

Thank you to those of you who have let me know you are not available to attend the party this month, and congratulations! 😉

Not sure how many we will actually have, so if you haven’t RSVP’ed, can you let me know? Please and thank you!

I’ll send private messages also.

Hoping (and happy that) you are all well, on your own or with your loved ones.

MESSAGE FROM HOST Tracey Regus

Hey everyone,

I know a lot is going on for a lot of you 😉

Wondering if some of you might prefer just a casual get-together, less of a party thing?

Is anyone up for happy hour? I’d love to catch up with you all who are still “flying solo” and give you big hugs and share a drink and catch up on that #awesome single life.

I’m thinking maybe instead of party on Oct 29, happy hour on Oct 27? If you have any suggestions for a place, I’m open to trying something new!
